Packaging for protective face masks
Approx. 14 million protective masks are required in Germany. Daily. Not only the production of the masks is a challenge, but also its packaging, shipping packaging and cost-effective transport. With the tray- and cartoning packers of emkon. you get flexible and modular machines that reliably pack your face masks in folding boxes.
Our emkon. traypacker allows the packaging of variable quantities from 10 up to 100 pieces. The masks are packed flexibly according to the desired grouping. The feeding of the mask stacks to the packaging machine is made automatically via pocket chain – of course, we provide the interface. The operation is very simple via touch panel and format changes are also quick and intuitive as usual.
In practice, the “ear loops” often turned out to be the bottleneck of the packaging process during automatic packaging because they can quickly become entangled and thus can lead to machine malfunctions. With our module that is specially developed for this application and for the safe capture of the “ear loops”, we take on this problem and guarantee a reliable process due to movable guide devices. They ensure that the “ear loops” are automatically captured and limited. By using a special mouthpiece, the mass stacks remain in a secured position until they are inserted into the open box.
