Visiting our website
Scope of processing
When you visit our website, for technical reasons your browser transfers certain data to our web server. This concerns the flowwing data (known as server logs):

Purpose and legal basis of data processing
It is technically necessary for our web server to temporarily store the user's IP address in order to be able to display the website. For this purpose, your IP address has to remain stored for the duration of the session.
The above-mentioned data is stored in the log files to ensure the functionality of our website. This data is also used to optimize our website and to ensure that our information technology systems are secure (e.g. to detect attacks). The legal basis for the temporary storage of this data and the log files is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) of the GDPR. It is in our legitimate interest to operate and ensure the security of our website.
Period of retention
The aforementioned data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to fulfill the purpose for which it was originally gathered. Where data is collected to enable us to provide the website, this is the case when the corresponding session has been terminated. For the data stored in the log files, this is done after a maximum of seven days. Storage beyond this is possible if this data is required (e.g. to clarify attacks, acts of abuse or fraud). Data that must continue to be stored for the purpose of providing evidence is exempt from deletion until the respective incident has been definitively resolved.

Applications
Scope of processing
If you are interested in joining our company, you can apply to us online using the application form, or by e-mail. When you use the job application form, we process the following data: first name, last name, e-mail address, and the documents you provide as attachments. If you apply to us by e-mail, we process the data you share with us.
Purposes and legal basis of data porcessing
We will process your personal data for the purpose of selecting suitable candidates and performing administrative duties during the application process, in order to facilitate decisions about establishing an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 (1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
If the application leads to employment with us, we will process the data already received from you for the purposes of the employment, insofar as this is necessary to implement it. In this case, your personal data, if necessary, will be transferred to the personnel files and into our human resource management systems. The legal basis for this is Section 26 (1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

The recipient of the data
The HR Department and the supervisor responsible for filling the position will be the recipients of your personal data.

Period of retention
If your application does not culminate in employment, we will delete your personal data, taking into account the time limit for action under the AGG (German General Equal Treatment Act) no later than 4 months after the termination of the application process (e.g. the announcement of the refusal decision), unless you have given us your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) a) of the GDPR to store your personal data for a longer period in order to be able to reconsider you for new job offers, where applicable. In this case, we require your special permission under Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
If your application was successful and leads to employment with us, we will include your application materials, provided that it is necessary based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, 26(1) of the GDPR, to implement the employment relationship in our human resource administration system. In this case, your application materials will only be deleted once your employment with us is terminated and an additional three years have passed since the end of that year.
Possibility of objection and deletion
The personal data you have provided to us can be renewed or deleted at any time, upon request. To do, please send an e-mail to karriere@emkon-automation.com. This does not apply if you have applied for a specific position with us as part of an ongoing application process. In this case, we will store the information you provide for this position until the statutory time limits for taking legal action expire (in particular § 15 AGG).

We integrate maps from the Google Maps service from the provider Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The service provider responsible in the EU is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter referred to as "Google"). Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive (land) maps to visually present geographical information. In order to provide the map material, data that is technically essential for this purpose is processed by Google.

When you use this service, you will be shown our location, making it easier for you to find us if necessary. The legal basis is Art. 6(1) a of the GDPR.
Recipient of the data processing
When you visit the sub-pages of our website that include maps from Google Maps, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transmitted to Google servers in the USA, and is stored there. This happens irrespective of whether Google provides a user account with which you are logged in or there is no user account. When you log into Google, your data is directly associated with your account.
Possibility of objection and deletion
If you do not wish to have your profile associated with Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data (even users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and analyses them. An analysis of this kind is carried out in particular in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) of the GDPR, based on Google's legitimate interests in displaying personalized advertising, market research and/or designing its website in line with its requirements. YouTube
Scope of processing
We use the YouTube video platform of Google Inc., Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The responsible service provider in the EU is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter referred to as "Google")
On some pages of our online offer, we provide links to our own videos stored on YouTube or use what is known as "framing", i.e. content is displayed in parts of the browser window during embedding. However, the videos can only be accessed by clicking on them individually. If you do so, you will establish a connection to YouTube's servers. During this process, data such as date, time and IP address are exchanged.
Purposes and legal basis of data processing
We use YouTube to post our own videos and share them publicly. Data collection is done via cookies, so we need your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) a) of the GDPR, which is also our legal basis. We have described what cookies are and how you can object to their use in section 3.4 of this data protection declaration

When you view the videos, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transmitted to Google servers and stored there.
